Elementary School Administrator

Overview: Plan, direct, or coordinate the academic, clerical, or auxiliary activities of public or private elementary or secondary level schools.
Duties:
Degree(s): A.A./B.A. QCC/QC Dual/Joint Liberal Arts & Sciences and Childhood Education (Grades 1-6) 
A.A.S. Management: Marketing Concentration 
A.A.S. Management: Real Estate-Insurance Concentration 
A.S. Business Administration (Accounting and Marketing) 
Job Outlook: Employment of elementary school administrator will grow as fast as average through 2018. Although enrollment of school age children will grow slowly, more responsibility will be placed on administrator to monitor the progress of students.
Education Level: Candidates for this occupation generally have completed their Bachelor’s Degree and have continued their education either 1 or 2 years longer.

  • Assigning duties to others, motivating them, and evaluating their performance.
  • Being aware of the reactions of others, and understanding why they react the way they do.
