Procurement Clerks

Overview: Compile information and records to draw up purchase orders for procurement of materials and services.
Duties:
Degree(s): A.A.S. Office Administration and Technology: Administrative Secretary 
A.A.S. Office Administration and Technology: Office Technology: Word/Information Processing 
Job Outlook: Employment of procurement clerks is expected to grow slower than average through 2018. The need for procurement clerks will be reduced as the use of computers to place orders directly with suppliers and as ordering over the Internet becomes more prevalent.
Education Level: The typical training required for this career is generally a High School Degree or GED Certificate.

  • The ability to make appropriate use of equipment and materials to get a job done.
