Overview: Prepare and distribute bank statements to customers, answer inquiries, and reconcile discrepancies in records and accounts.
Duties:
Degree(s): A.A.S. Accounting 
A.A.S. Office Administration and Technology: Administrative Secretary 
A.A.S. Office Administration and Technology: Office Technology: Word/Information Processing 
Job Outlook: Employment of statement clerk will decline slightly through 2018. While banks employ large numbers of administrative clerks, turnover is high which should create opportunities for entry-level jobs.

Education Level: The typical training required for this career is generally a High School Degree or GED Certificate.

  • Talking, giving speeches, or speaking in a group to convey information, explain ideas, or give instructions.
  • Paying attention to what other people are saying, and taking time to understand the points being made.
