Craft Artist

Overview: Create or reproduce hand-made objects for sale and exhibition using a variety of techniques, such as welding, weaving, pottery, and needlecraft.
Duties:
Degree(s): A.S. Visual and Performing Arts: Art & Photography Concentration 
A.S. Visual and Performing Arts: Dance Concentration 
A.S. Visual and Performing Arts: Music Concentration 
A.S. Visual and Performing Arts: Theatre Arts Concentration 
A.S. Visual and Performing Arts: Interdisciplinary Concentration  
Job Outlook: Employment for craft artists is expected to grow as fast as average through 2018. Studios, galleries, and individual clients are always on the lookout for outstanding and creative artists.
Education Level: The typical training required for this career is generally a High School Degree or GED Certificate.
